The free tools of HVACSuite

After 10 years, I have decided to officially retire PMTHERM.  Fear not, however !  I have replaced it with HVACSuite, which includes an abundance of totally free tools that should satiate even the most extreme lovers of free software !     Some parts of HVACSUITE are free, and some are under lock and key ( per-machine registration ).  The idea of having valuable free tools is to get you to keep HVACSUITE installed, and use it !  Eventually, you may get tired of the opening nag screen ( even though it's really cool ) and register your copy !  Or you may decide you need the features that require registration !  I call this the 'I'm trying to make a living' model of programming :-)

Throw out your friction charts and circular slide-rules for metal duct !

 The free HVAC Floating Toolbox features many common HVAC-related calculations in a handy 'floating toolbox' that floats on top of any other application you may be using.  Database storage of complex calculation report sets ( with names, such as the job they were for, etc ), integrated report exports ( PDF, HTML, RTF ), printing ( with WYSIWYG editing / preview ), and emailing.  The HVACSuite toolbox is in IP units only, at this time.  Hey, what do you expect for free, everything ????

    The duct calculations combine the functions of the well known 'Friction Loss' chart with the standard 'Round Equivalent' chart, with all approach vectors of each, in one easy step, with no crossed eyeballs trying to divine the intersection of lines or rows on a chart, etc.  Then they go far beyond that, with surface area, weight per gauge, and more !

All Duct calculations are based on equal friction loss / 100 ft, and each report includes :

• Velocity FPM
• Velocity pressure " WG
• Friction loss / 100 ft " WG
• Friction loss / specified length " WG
• Duct weight for various gauges of gal steel and aluminum, round and rectangular
• Aspect ratios
• Surface area, for calculating insulation quantity needed, etc
• 10 rectangular equivalents at various dimensions and aspect ratios, with surface area, FPM, and P-velocity for each
• Other calculated factors as appropriate for each input entry point
